LinkedIn is a marketing option and helps connect with people. Tell them how you can help them and when they connect you can tell them how they can help you. Then do your bit and follow up to ensure it all happens.

Sean,
Cuts right to the heart of the question. I like direct and no evasion of the point style writing. Excellent approach, and the truth does make sense. We are all trying desparately to get a bit ahead. "Causes" are often worthy, but they require support, and providing support means someone has to make some money.

Steve,

The most valuable thing you can do in regards to social media is to provide value to others. So I think your "Good Cause" is perfectly in line with providing value.

I'm a firm believer in business people approaching social networking/media from a profit perspective, but that doesn't exclude doing good through "social cause" activities. Who knows, if everyone makes more money, some of that will be returned to various charities.

Sean
Great points and I will take them to heart. So much social media it does take some time to keep up with and do it justice or otherwise you are just spinning your wheels. There is another reason to network though and that is for a cause. It is good to increase the bottom line but it helps when is is for a good cause also. Don't take me wrong, I am all for making a profit and even non profits want to bring in more money to help their cause. Keep up the good work!
