Julian,

I've never used the service so my answer would only be a guess. I would recommend checking out www.JibberJabber.com which is run by Jason Alba. Ask him the same question you asked me. He has a better grasp on using LinkedIn for a jobs resource.

Sean, I was thinking of trying the "LinkedIn Job Seeker Premium" service for one month (~30 bucks).

In your experience (or the experience of people in your business network) with LinkedIn, is the Job Seeker Premium service worthwhile? Does it do what they say it will do (i.e. priority resume sorting, access to inMail to reach hiring managers, recruiters more likely to call, etc.)?

And, thanks for the information on your blog! I follow you on Twitter and always browse your blog entries....

No particular reason on Tuesday Thursday, I just wanted people to think about updating this twice a week. Hopefully if they're doing that consistently then they think why not do it more. You could update it every day and it wouldn't be a bad idea. I typically do it 3 to 4 times per week.

8. Use the “What are you doing now” feature to let your network know that you are job searching. Update this every Tuesday and Friday.

Why Tuesday and Friday?
