That is (as you emphasize above) if it&#039;s relevant to that group. I tried this just last week and was amazed to see 20+ clicks from LinkedIn back to my portfolio site!</description>

I agree 100%.  I may need to look at the wording I used.  You should give as many recommendations as have been earned.  Recommending as a thank you for someone else recommending you is a bad idea.  Recommending someone because you were asked to is another touchy area.

If someone asks me for a recommendation and I am not a client, then I simply provide a character recommendations.  If I don&#039;t know them well enough to recommend then I simply reply that before I am able to recommend them I need to get to know them better.
